Bridges to Sustainable Communities Symposium at Mount St. Mary’s University in October 2019

In October 2019, the Seton Center hosted the Bridges to Sustainable Communities Symposium at Mount St. Mary’s University. The Ausherman Family Foundation was proud to support this event. A total of 64% of those who attended the event expressed interest in receiving more training and/or supporting Getting Ahead groups throughout Frederick County. To support the next steps in this initiative, Seton Center is offering a FREE, one-day Community Bridges Out of Poverty Training, on Wednesday, January 22 from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Thurmont Public Library, facilitated by Bridges Trainer Kelly Overholtzer.

1. This training is a prerequisite to taking the Getting Ahead facilitator training. To find out more about those steps, you can go to

Snacks will be provided. There will be a 30-minute lunch break. Please bring a brown-bag lunch.
