Off Thomas Johnson Drive is a building brimming with toys for children in the Frederick community. The Ausherman Properties team, our for-profit partner, gave Toys for Tots the space for the season to collect and house its Christmas donations. This year, Toys for Tots had $24,000 in funds to spend on gifts for more than 2,100 children in Frederick.

The assortment of gifts ranges from bicycles, dolls, racecars, robots, and many more. All these donations are packaged and delivered to nonprofits in Frederick that will then give them to their clients. The Orenda Wellness Center, as reported by the Frederick News Post, has gifts piled in their conference room to distribute to clients.

Congratulations to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves for sponsoring this tremendous effort, the active-duty Marines coordinators and local volunteers who help make Christmas magical for so many children.
