Current Partnerships
The Ausherman Family Foundation is currently working with the following foundations, grantmakers, and other philanthropists with the common goal of making a positive impact on a community or societal need:
Nonprofit Summit
The Ausherman Family Foundation partners with The
Community Foundation of Frederick County to bring the Nonprofit Summit to area agencies.
This full day of capacity building workshops brings nonprofit staff,
volunteers, and board members together to learn about diverse topics.
The event is well received by the community. The partnership
approach to this event enables us to find and obtain quality presenters
at an affordable cost for nonprofits.
Grant Seeker's Resource Center
The Ausherman Family Foundation also has partnered with the Frederick County Public Library to bring reference and circulating materials to nonprofit staff in general and fundraisers in particular. Grant seekers have the opportunity to search the most comprehensive electronic collections of grant makers and grants available through two Foundation Center databases: Foundation Directory Online Professional and Foundation Grants to Individuals Online. Also available are print resources such as Grassroots Grants: An Activist's Guide to Grant Seeking and Nonprofit Board Answer Book: Practical Guidelines for Board Members and Chief Executives.
Other Foundations or grantmakers interested in exploring a partnership to work on a community or societal need may contact Joyce A. Heptner, Executive Director, by calling 301-620-4443 or emailing info@aushermanfamilyfoundation.org.
