Tom Brokaw was presented at the Frederick Speaker Series

Veteran NBC Journalist, Tom Brokaw, was featured by the Frederick Speaker Series at the Weinberg Center for the Arts on May 7, 2014.  Brokaw discussed World War II and its soldiers, who inspired him to write his 1998 best-seller, "The Greatest Generation."   Past U.S. presidents were also a topic of Brokaw's discussion. 

Before Brokaw's discussion, all military members sitting in the audience were asked to stand up and be recognized.

Brokaw's distinguished career has been recognized with Peabody, duPont, and Emmy awards.  He is now a popular essayist for publications ranging from the The New York Times to Rolling Stone.
