About the Foundation
The Ausherman Family Foundation was established in 2006 by Marvin and Lisa Ausherman to fulfill their vision for Frederick County, Maryland. That vision is a dynamic society where committed individuals and institutions work together to ensure that the needs of all are met. The Foundation’s mission to be a catalyst for change is both local and global.
The Ausherman Family Foundation and the Ausherman Family Trust
Though they are two separate organizations, the Ausherman Family Foundation and the Ausherman Family Trust have a partnership as they are motivated to achieve a common goal. The Foundation and the Trust are fundamentally operated with the same programs, strategic plan and management structure. However, the Foundation and the Trust are funded separately. The Foundation is a private foundation whereas the Trust is considered a supporting organization.
Because the Ausherman Family Foundation and the Ausherman Family Trust run the same programs, and the main difference is which organization funding comes from, the organizations have established multiple links between their websites in order to share their programs and grantees with visitors.
