Joyce A. HeptnerExecutive Director
Dr. Joyce Ann Heptner has 23 years of nonprofit leadership experience as manager of a performing arts center, community theatre, community foundation, and voluntary health organization. Dr. Heptner served for five years as executive director of the Alzheimer's Association, Western Maryland Region and as the regional director for the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Maryland Chapter. Previous professional positions have also included student activities coordinator, director of public information, and marketing coordinator for Hagerstown Community College's credit and continuing education departments. She has taught upper level college classes in leadership, ethics, and business communication as an adjunct faculty member for Frostburg State University in Hagerstown, Maryland, and is a skilled trainer of family members and professionals in Alzheimer's Association programs.
Dr. Heptner holds a doctoral degree in organization leadership with a research focus on nonprofit organizations, an MBA with a concentration in marketing, and a Bachelor's degree in business administration.
Dr. Heptner is a past member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, a graduate of Leadership Washington County, Maryland, a past vice-president of the Department of Social Services in Hagerstown, Maryland, and the past president of the Washington County Arts Council, Hagerstown, Maryland.
She is a native of Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
Renee Lopez, CPAInvestment Advisor
Renee Lopez is the Investment Advisor of Ausherman Development Corporation. She is a native of Hanover, Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Management from Lebanon Valley College, Annville, Pennsylvania in 1989. She started her career in public accounting working for Deloitte & Touche and received her CPA license in 1993.
Since public accounting, Renee worked in private industry for two telecommunications companies in the Northern Virginia area, taught college level accounting classes at an American military base in Okinawa, Japan, and took a few years off to raise her children. She and her family moved to Frederick in 2001. Renee joined Ausherman Development Corporation in 2004.She resides in Walkersville with her husband and their three children. She is a member of the St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Libertytown Maryland.
Laura Lebo is the Controller of Ausherman Development Corporation, Ausherman Family Foundation, and Ausherman Family Trust. In 2002 she received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, with minors in Business and Accounting, from McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. Laura then moved to Frederick County with her husband, where she began her career in public accounting working for McGladrey & Pullen, LLP. She joined Ausherman Development Corporation in 2010.
Laura resides in Walkersville with her husband and daughter. She is a member of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Walkersville.
